Stardew Valley Gus: The Hidden Details Most Players Miss
Let me tell you about Gus, a mustachioed man who owns Stardrop Saloon, a bar where most events or social interactions occur. Gus works there as a chef and lives behind the saloon. Emily works part-time in the saloon, and Pam is a regular customer and friend of Gus.
Stardew Valley Gus’s birthday is on Summer 8 and he is a non-marriageable character. He lives in the saloon most of the time so you have enough clue where to find him in the game to spend time with him or give gifts. If he’s not in the saloon then you can find him at the Pierre’s General Store or at the Community Center.

Schedule
Gus spends most of his time running the Stardrop Saloon. On normal days, he stays in his room in the morning, cleans glasses at noon, and serves customers in the evening. When it rains, his routine stays the same. On Mondays, he visits Pierre’s General Store before returning to the Saloon. On Tuesdays, if the Community Center is repaired, he spends the morning cooking there. If Alex’s 14-heart event is unlocked, he visits the backroom of the Saloon on Sundays before starting work.
Gus also attends special events. On Spring 15, after the bus service is restored, he goes to the Desert Festival, spends time near the pond, and then returns home. If he is a vendor, he stays at his booth until midnight. On Fall 4, he visits Harvey’s Clinic for a checkup. In Year 1, during Green Rain, he stands near the Saloon bar all day. If the Beach Resort on Ginger Island is unlocked, he may visit it randomly but never on festival days or his clinic visit. When he goes to the island, he leaves a cash box at the Saloon so customers can still buy items.
Gift Guide
He loves cooking and enjoys gifts that match his passion for food. To make him happy, you can give him his favorite gifts: Escargot, Fish Taco, Orange, Orange Wine, Tropical Curry, and Diamond. Giving these gifts will quickly increase your friendship.
He likes Daffodil, All Cooking dishes (except those he dislikes or hates), and All Universal Likes. However, he dislikes Quartz, Salmonberry, Coleslaw, and All Universal Dislikes. Be careful not to give him anything he hates, such as Void Egg, Clay, Red Mushroom, and All Universal Hates, as this will upset him.
Movies and Concessions
Gus enjoys watching movies, especially The Miracle at Coldstar Ranch and Wumbus, which are his favorites. He also likes movies such as It Howls in the Rain, Journey of the Prairie King: The Motion Picture, Natural Wonders: Exploring Our Vibrant World, The Brave Little Sapling, and The Zuzu City Express. However, he doesn’t like Mysterium.
When it comes to snacks at the Movie Theater, Gus loves Cappuccino Mousse Cake, Panzanella Salad, Stardrop Sorbet, and Truffle Popcorn. He also enjoys Chocolate Popcorn, Fries, Ice Cream Sandwiches, Nachos, Personal Pizza, Regular Popcorn, Salmon Burgers, Salted Peanuts, and Star Cookies. But he dislikes all other snacks.
Stardrop Saloon
The saloon remains open from 12:00 PM to 12:00 AM. It offers food, drinks, arcade games, music, and a vending machine. You can buy food, drinks, and recipes at the cash register. If Stardew Valley Gus is away (e.g., on Ginger Island), a cash box is placed on the counter so you can still shop.

Entertainment & Machines
The Stardrop Saloon has fun activities for visitors. There are two arcade games: Journey of the Prairie King, a shooter game with three worlds that gives a reward if you win, and Junimo Kart, a racing game that needs the Skull Key to unlock. Winning Progress Mode in Junimo Kart also gives you a special reward. The Jukebox lets you change the saloon’s music, but you can only play songs you’ve heard before. Next to the arcade machines, there is a Joja Vending Machine that sells Joja Cola for 75g.

Secret
If you place Duck Mayonnaise in a hidden metal box in the back room, you get the Pinky Lemon statue.
