In every village, there should be a general store where all daily necessities are available. Pierre owns the general store and lives with his wife Caroline, and daughter Abigail. There are some rumors about Abigail that Pierre is not her real father, but there is no evidence that this is true.
Pierre Stardew Valley considers Morris his competitor because he is the real owner of Joja Mart. This store remains open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. but is closed on Wednesday. If you have completed the Community Centre, it’ll remain open for you on Wednesday also. His birthday is on Spring 26.
Routine Schedule
He starts at the counter at 6 AM, organizes aisles by 7 AM, and ends his day in the kitchen or reading before bed at 11 PM. On Fridays, he visits the Stardrop Saloon, and on rainy days, he follows his usual routine.
Sometimes, Pierre Stardew Valley changes things up. If the Ginger Island Beach Resort is unlocked, he might spend a day there, leaving a cash box at the store, but he’s home by 6 PM and skips it on festival days. For the Desert Festival, he travels to Calico Desert to visit or run a booth, returning late. On Green Rain days in Year 1, he stays in his living room. Knowing his schedule helps you shop smart!

Pierre from Stardew Valley loves going to the movie theater! His favorite movie is Wumbus. He also likes It Howls In The Rain, Journey Of The Prairie King: The Motion Picture, Mysterium, Natural Wonders: Exploring Our Vibrant World, The Brave Little Sapling, The Miracle At Coldstar Ranch, and The Zuzu City Express. He doesn’t dislike any movies. For snacks, Pierre loves eating personal pizza and Stardrop Sorbet. He doesn’t like black licorice, Joja Cola, or JojaCorn. Everything else at the concession stand is okay with him!
Pierre Heart Events
Pierre doesn’t have many heart events, but the few he has are interesting!
Anytime – Gold in the Mail
Once you become friends with Pierre (even just a little), there’s a chance he’ll send you some gold in the mail. The better your friendship, the more likely he’ll share some money with you. It’s his way of saying thanks!
Three Hearts – A Sweet Recipe
When you reach 3 hearts with Pierre, he’ll send you a recipe in the mail. The dish is called Blueberry Tart, and it’s one of his favorites. You can make it in your kitchen once you have the ingredients. It’s a nice little gift that shows your growing friendship.
Six Hearts – Stardew Valley Pierre Secret Stash
At 6 hearts, a special scene will happen. Walk into Pierre’s General Store when he’s there. You’ll end up in his room and accidentally find his secret stash! Pierre gets surprised and a bit upset when he walks in.
You’ll then have two choices:
- If you say “Your secret is safe with me,” Pierre will feel relieved and thank you. You’ll also gain +70 friendship points.
- If you say “Your wife deserves to know about this,” Pierre gets really mad and you lose 500 friendship points. He’ll complain and say he needs a new hiding place.
The secret is never fully explained, which keeps things mysterious!
Pierre’s General Store
Pierre’s General Store is right next to Harvey’s Clinic. Pierre stocks both seasonal and year-round items. You can buy seeds, saplings, fertilizers, cooking ingredients, wallpapers, flooring, and backpack upgrades.

Pierre Stardew Valley’s Quests
Pierre is one of the shopkeepers in Stardew Valley, and sometimes he gives you small quests to complete. These quests can earn you money, friendship points, or special items.
One of Pierre’s main quests is called Pierre’s Notice. You’ll get a letter from him on the 21st of Spring in Year 2, asking you to bring him a dish called Sashimi. If you give it to him, he’ll reward you with 1,000 gold and you’ll also get one friendship heart with him.
Pierre also puts random requests on the Help Wanted board outside his General Store. These requests are different each time and usually ask for a specific item. If you bring him what he asks for, you’ll get three times the item’s normal price and 150 friendship points.
Another quest from Pierre is called Pierre’s Prime Produce. This one appears on the Special Orders board near the Mayor’s house. In this quest, Pierre asks for 25 Gold-quality vegetables. You need to put them in the bin inside his store. If you complete it, you’ll receive 2,500 gold, a Mini-Shipping Bin, and a small cutscene at the store. However, this quest doesn’t give you any friendship points.
Lastly, while it’s not an official quest, you can unlock more items in Pierre’s shop. If you buy the Missing Stocklist from Qi’s Walnut Room for 50 Qi Gems and give it to Pierre, he will start selling seeds from all seasons at any time of the year.
Relationships
You can’t marry Pierre Stardew Valley but you can make him your friend. Most of the time, you’ll find him working at the store, but on Friday evenings, he takes a break and visits the Stardrop Saloon to chat with other villagers.
Pierre is very worried about JojaMart, as he considers it as his competitor. He’s afraid it might hurt his business and make it harder for him to earn money.
At home, things aren’t always easy either. Pierre and Abigail don’t always see eye to eye. They have different opinions and don’t understand each other well, which you can notice yourself during in-game cutscenes.
